 J&K govt gives new guidelines to regularise pilgrims at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine 

The Jammu and Kashmir government has issued new guidelines to regulate pilgrims at mata vaishno devi shrine with a view to prevent spread of Covid-19. As per the new rules, pilgrims should have a valid and verifiable RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen Test which is not more than 72 hours old

The J&K Services Selection Board invites online application from eligible candidates for participation in the selection process for UT Cadre post of the Sub Inspector of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, as per the detailed given.

 Major terror plot foiled in Baramulla, IED bomb recovered

In Baramulla, security forces have foiled a major terror plot. According to reports, security forces found improvised explosive device (IED) in passenger shed area near Saidpora village in Rafiabad in Baramulla district on Thursday morning. After which the security forces informed the bomb disposal squad. Jammu and Kashmir police said that the bomb disposal squad reached the spot as soon as they received information. After which the team has deactivated the IED after conducting an inquiry. Search operation is on in the area by security forces. A major attack has been averted due to vigilance of security forces. According to reports, more IED bombs are feared to be planted in the area by the militants and search operation is on.


The terror outfits are planning to install IED bombs on roads and highways to target security forces vehicles in Kashmir. However, search operations are continuing on roads and sensitive areas by all security agencies and patrolling teams. According to sources, terror outfits are planning a major terror attack in the Valley. Last Wednesday evening, security forces killed two terrorists, including Lashkar-e-Taiba district commander Gulzar Reshi, who were involved in the killing of two labourers in Kulgam.

In Uttarakhand, unseasonal clouds lashed Kumaon on Monday and Tuesday. 37 people died due to landslides, house collapses, current running in water etc. Nainital had the highest number of 27 deaths on Tuesday, six in Almora and one each in Champawat, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and UdhamSingh Nagar. At present, the death toll in government claims has been reported as 22. The death toll in the state has reached 43 in two days of rain. Nine have been reported missing. Meanwhile, no casualty was reported in Garhwal on Tuesday. Three people lost their lives here on Monday. The day-long evacuation of chardham commuters and other stranded people continued throughout the day by opening the blocked roads as the weather cleared. 

The highest number of 27 people have died in Nainital district due to devastating rains. Five of them were killed in Doshapani Mukteshwar, six in Chaukhuta, nine in Sakuna, two in Bohrakot, one in Chaupada, one in Bhimtal, two in Kanchi Bhawali, one in Ramgarh. In Almora district, six people were buried in debris at different places. In Almora district, three of the six people were from the same family in Village Rapd in Bhikiasan area. 

One woman from Almora Chitai village and a young woman from NTD area of Almora. A woman was also killed in Sialde in Almora district after being buried in a debris. In Champawat, one person was killed in a landslide at Telwar. Two people are missing. One person has also died in Pithoragarh district. In Rudrapur (UdhamSingh Nagar), the daughter-in-law of Rampur MLA Kamlesh Shukla died of electrocution during rain. Meanwhile, the body of a farmer has been recovered in Bajpur on Monday.
