There is good news for the youth waiting for government jobs in Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued advertisements of 2311 posts of seven departments. Online applications for these posts can be made from 12th April to 12th May 2021. While most of the 1444 posts will be filled up in the Department of Health and Medicine, 528 posts in the Department of Revenue, 256 in the Department of Cooperatives, 52 in the Department of General Administration, 21 in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, 6 in the Department of Skill Development and four posts in the Department of Floriculture, Gardens and parks have been advertised.
Let us say that by the last date of application, the applicant will have to meet the condition of the requirement of the Domicile certificate. The age limit of 40 years has been prescribed for open merit and government service applicant. 42 for Divang, 48 for ex-servicemen quota while the age limit of all other reserved category applicants has been kept at 43 years. Applicants applying to all posts are required to submit domissile certificate. In Jammu and Kashmir, the process of becoming a domicile certificate is continuing. Recently, in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home Affairs, G. Kishan Reddy had stated that as on 31st December, 2020, 35, 44938 applications were received for issuance of original residence certificate in Jammu and Kashmir till 31st December, 2020. Out of which certificates have been issued to 32, 31353 applicants.
