 Farooq Abdullah suffers another major setback as senior leader Prem Sagar Aziz quits party

National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has once again suffered a major setback. After senior leader Devendra Singh Rana, senior party leader Prem Sagar Aziz has also resigned from the National Conference. He reportedly resigned in support of Devendra Singh Rana. Devendra Singh Rana, one of the stalwarts of the NC, had recently resigned from the National Conference and joined the BJP. Devendra Singh Rana as well as Surjit Singh Salathiya had resigned from the party and joined bjp. Meanwhile, Devendra Rana had said that the interests of Jammu will no longer be compromised. He had said that the people of Jammu want equal rights without suppressing any sector in development, employment and good governance and do not want to be suppressed for it.

 

Union Minister Jitendra Singh's brother Devendra Singh Rana is one of the most influential leaders of the National Conference in Jammu. His resignation was accepted by National Conference President Farooq Abdullah. The National Conference had also announced elections for the post of provincial president of Jammu division on October 16. The party has currently nominated Ratan Lal Gupta to the post.
