A policeman, including councillor Riaz Ahmed, was shot dead in Sopore, who did not desist even on Holi day

 In Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists have not ceased their nefarious movements on Monday, the day of Holi. In fact, a meeting of the councillors was continuing at the municipal office at Sopore in Baramulla district on Monday afternoon. Only then did the unidentified terrorists start firing indiscriminately in the office. In which corporation councillor Riaz Ahmad, including 1 policeman, has also died. The martyred policeman has been identified as Shafaqat Ahmad.

While in the attack, the corporation councillor Shams-ud-Din Pir was injured, who has been admitted to the hospital by security forces. Where their treatment is continuing under the supervision of doctors. Security forces have cordoned off the area and started search operation. 

Confirming the attack, IG Vijay Kumar of Kashmir division said that a councillor and a policeman were killed in a terror attack in Sopore. Another councillor is injured, who is undergoing treatment.

According to information, BDC Chairperson Farida Khan was also seriously injured in the terror attack. Farida Khan has been admitted to the hospital by security forces. Heavy security forces have been deployed in the area after the attack. According to sources, there are apprehensions about the militants hiding in the area. However, the search for the attackers is continuing by the security forces.
