J&K govt's major achievement, 100% get first dose of covid vaccine



The government has achieved a major milestone in preventing corona infection in Jammu and Kashmir. In Jammu and Kashmir, the first dose of 100 per cent vaccine has been administered to all people above the age of 18 years. According to reports, 34,272 people have been administered the first dose last Thursday, while 47,957 people have administered the second dose. With this, more than 134 lakh 94 thousand people have been vaccinated so far across the state. 100% immunization has been done in Anannag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua, Poonch, Samba, Ramban, Doda and Reasi Udhampur, Kishtwar, Kupwara. Tell us that 100 per cent immunization has taken place in the entire State in the age group of 18 years. Razia, a healthworker, said she has not taken a single day off for the last five months and has so far administered 30,000 vaccines. Our U-Centre has administered two lakh vaccines and I have personally vaccinated about 30,000 people in the last five months, Razia said.


Health workers in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir have also celebrated 100 per cent vaccination in Jammu and Kashmir and 100 crore doses in the country. The programme was held at Urban PHC Shastri Nagar in Jammu last Thursday after 100 per cent of vaccination was completed. Health Director Dr. Renu Sharma was the Chief Guest. Chief Health Officer Dr Jp Singh, Deputy Chief Health Officer Dr Poonam Sethi, District Immunization Officer Dr Ambika were also present. Health workers were felicitated and certificates have also been issued to them among the health workers. During the event, Dr. J.P. Singh said that 100 per cent people in Jammu district have been given the first dose and more than 50 per cent have been administered the second dose so far. He asked the health workers to prepare themselves to immunize children between the ages of two and 18 now. He has asked all the people to follow the SOP besides taking another dose. Moreover, celebrations have also been held in several districts of Kashmir.
